I have lost none of them you gave me
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the
victory through our Lord Jesus Christ
John 18:9 - 1 Cor. 15:57 (RSV)

Today's Principle is - We Are Going To Make It Safely To The Other Side. The text we will be addressing comes from Mark 4:35-41. Our focus is going to be on verse thirty-five which say's:

That day when evening had come, Jesus said to His disciples
KJV - Let us pass over unto the other side.
NIV - Let us go over to the other side
PHP - Let us cross over to the other side of the lake"

Was this a mere exchange of words between a handful of fishermen and the Savior, or was it a promise in the making? Could it be possible that Jesus knew ahead of time the events that we're about to unfold? Before you say, "No", you may want to consider passages such as; Lu 12:39, Jn.1: 50, Jn 16:30, Luke 11:17, John 19:10,11

Also that it was nighttime when Jesus initiated this encounter was no mere coincident. Jesus, being the Master Teacher that He was, was about to impart to his disciples (students) a very vital lesson concerning His personhood.

The lesson, (one of many) He was about to teach them was that, he, Jesus was and is, "the God of day(the times we feel the safest), as well as, the God of the night (our darkest hours).
Psa 74:16

There is nothing that the Savior, and Captain of our souls can't see us through. The LORD protects what is His.
1 Pe 2:25 Even when we are unbelieving, he abides faithful. 2Ti 2:13 Believest Thou This?

Now I want to share with you how I see this verse read. Jesus say's to you and I this very moment, "get in the boat, I am going to see you safely to the other side" [DZR].

When the storms of life assault your ship, don't panic, don't be afraid. And especially don't throw your crowns overboard. Hold on to then, for time will soon give way to opportunity for each of us to cast then as the Savior's feet
