HOW TO GET GOD'S GUIDANCE

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou
shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. For this God is our
God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death

Ps 32:8
Ps 48:14

There are three great lights to look for when seeking God's guidance. All three of these lights must be aligned in order to properly hear from God.

Points To Keep In Mind:

1. All scripture both Old and New Testament is God's revealed will.

2. A text without a context is a pretext. For example, (See Psa. 53: 1)
The Bible teaches that; THERE IS NO GOD

3. When examining a passage keep mind the following:

a. There is the text of the immediate verse.
Is there a command to obey?
Is there a promise to claim?
What does this verse tell me about my relationship to God?
What does this verse tell me about my relationship to others?

b. There is the text of the paragraph.

c. There is the text of the entire chapter.

d. Also, how is this passage used throughout the remainder of the     Bible?

That is to say that scripture needs to be examined with scripture.

4. Our minds are set against doing God’s will (See Romans Ch. 7)
There are three great lights to look for when seeking God's guidance.
All three of these lights must be aligned in order to properly hear from God.

THE FIRST GREAT LIGHT IS

ALL SCRIPTURE MUST BE PROPERLY INTERPRETED.
(See points one and two from above.)

THE SECOND GREAT LIGHT IS

WE MUST PRAY UNTIL WE HAVE A TOTAL SENSE OF
CONVICTION AS TO THE CORRECTNESS OF AN ACTION.

We must be 100% sure. Romans 14:23 But the man who has doubt is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

Few people ever determine God’s will because they are so opinionated. We must pray until we are neutral. We must pray until we have no preferences. When, we pray we must quiet ourselves before the Lord so we can hear what He has to say.

After the earthquake came a fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper
I Kings 19:12

When we have so many preferences of our own the voice of our own lust and desires will drowned out God’s voice.

That when we ask we do not receive, because we ask with the wrong motives, so that we can spend what we get on our own pleasure. James 4:3

God knows when we really want to listen we will hear his whisper. Until we are ready God will not waste his breath talking any louder.

The meek will He guide in the way.Psa 25:9

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct (make plain) thy path. Prov. 3:5,7

THE THIRD GREAT LIGHT IS

CIRCUMSTANCES AND OPEN DOORS

Remember Satan can open doors as well. In scriptures we are told that Satan is called that Great Deceiver (Rev 12:9).

And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. Is it not surprising then, if his servant masquerade as servants of righteousness. 2 Cor 11:14

Stop and Wait Upon The LORD Don't go charging through open
doors until all three light are lined up.

RECALL THE FACTS of ABRAHAM.

1. Abraham heard God’s voice.

2. Abraham was 1OO percent persuaded that what God promised He  was also able to perform.

3. Abraham obeyed God's leading.

4. God was faithful to provide a way out!
