The Timing And Duration Of Our Trials

My times are in thy hand - For everything there is a season - and a time for every matter under heaven - In this you rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer various trials - For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant - And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time
Ps 31:15, Ecc. 3:11, Pe. 1:6, Heb. 12:11, Luke 4:13

Our trials both originate and are initiated from above Job 1:8; 2:3. Having this truth deeply planted in our hearts and minds can make all the difference how we’ll come out of a trial. We will either go from “strength to strength” Ps 84:7 or we will be “tossed to and fro by every wind of adversity. Jas 1:6

Today we are going to take look at the Principle in the Cycle of A Trial (C.O.A.T.) and that is; Our Trials Have A Time And Duration All Their Own
Psa. 31:15, Ecc. 3:1

We see here in Ecc. 3:1 that there is a season, and a time for every matter that we as believers will face. The words “season” and "time" in this verse come from the Hebrew and means; an appointed occasion; a set period of time; also to; “prune or trim a vine.”

At this point there should be all kinds of bells and whistles going off in your heads (i.e.John 15). Believe it or not, there really is a purpose for all this “madness.” At least that’s what the author of Hebrews would have us to understand. Heb 12:11

However, regardless as to the length of our trials we are encouraged to “keep on keeping on” by considering Jesus and all that He endured.
Heb. 12:3 We are also reminded that no matter how long the trial or difficulty it is “but for a moment”, when compared to the glory that will be ours in eternity 2Co 4:17

By the way, the word moment means; now get this, “to carelessly pass by.” (Sort of like a day at the beach – a cake walk – Emphasis Added) As a result of all of this we will not cast away our confidence
Heb 10:35. As a result, we will not loose heart 2Cor 4:16

Yes, the timing and duration of are trials are in the hands of God, and under His control. And being the Righteous Judge that He is, we can trust Him to what is right
Ge 18:25
