Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God Phil 2 - Heb 12:2

Growing up for me was not always been easy task. At the age of thirteen I was suddenly stricken with an affliction that left me paralyzed from the waist down. I remain in a wheelchair until this day [over 35 years later]. On a few occasions I have brushed up with death, and had to see a lot of what I thought to be important to me, slip away.

But, I only share these things with you so that you will better understand where I am coming from as I share Today's Word with you. I think one of the biggest breakthroughs I have had in my spiritual walk is seeing through two of the biggest lies that a lot of believers fall for.

The fist lie is that, Bad Things Happen To Good People. And the second lie is, We Can't Understand Why God Allows Suffering In Our Lives? There was a time when I would have agreed with these statements.

The Bible states, When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish reasoning. 1Co 13:11

So where am I going with all of this. Well, there was a time when I looked upon life as an imposition, something undesirable, and burdensome. And as a result my life was filled with a lot of frustration and anxiety. You might of said, My attitude needed a major readjustment. Instead of going from "strength to strength", that is the heritage of all true believers, I went from "trial to trial", just hoping to make it through.

But none of us have to life this way! Instead we can live victoriously if we choose to have the proper attitude toward our trials. Yes it is possible when Passing through the valley of Weeping, to make it a Place of Springs Psa 84. So I ask you, how should we respond to our trials? I leave you with the follow words of encouragement for your reflection and enjoyment. Feel free to print these out and pray over them. Think On Them. Act Accordingly.

Look For Ways To Use Your Suffering For The Good Of Others
