Did you ever stop and truly meditate on the word “PEACE” I heard it once said by someone, “I’m going to get peace, even if I have to go to war to get it” We might smile at that statement, but it’s not far from the truth. Out of the 431 times the word peace comes up in the Bible, (327 OT – 104 NT) the words “offering” or “sacrifice” are also mentioned over 123 times in the very same verse.
Yes, peace, God’s peace, came at a very
high price, yet He offers it free to the one who will make the Most
High his refuge. Are you at peace today? You know there are different
depths of peace. There is “Peace with God” and then there is the “Peace
of God.” I trust you know the difference. If not drop
me a line and I will explain them to you in more detail.
AND NOW THE WORD OF GOD
The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace - The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace - But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people - Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them - For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace - Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD,thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace. For he is our peace, who hath made both one. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means
