Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward
Job 5:7

We Are Going To Encounter Great Difficulty But God Is Faithful

The text we will be addressing comes from Mark 4:35-41. Our focus is going to be on verse thirty-seven, which says: And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

Jesus is "the God of day (the times we feel the most secure), as well as, the God of the night (our darkest hours)Psa 74:16 That is a great truth to understand in ligh of the fact we are going to face great difficulty. But, the presence of difficulty, does not indicate that God is absent in our lives. Mark 4:37

In fact, trials are not only to be expected, but also embraced as a normal part of our Christian experience. Peter speaks to this matter, "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial among you, which cometh upon you to prove you, as though a strange thing happened."
1 Peter 4:12

The early Christian Church had this truth firmly planted in their minds for we read regarding their pilgrimage; "Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God."
Acts 14:22

Yes, We Are Going To Experience Great Difficulty - But God Is Faithful. You say, "I already know that, Dan, tell me something I don't know." But such a understanding must go far beyond any head-knowledge. It must be spiritually discerned with a heart that has been re-birthed and a mind that has been renewed. To be forewarned is to forearm. Jesus reminds us of this very subject; "I have said all this to you to keep you from falling away."
John 16:1,33 Luke 8:13

Yes, We Are Going To Experience Great Difficulty, and chances are that God in His sovereignty and great love is going to allow us to remain in our circumstance. But, because of His faithfulness, He will provide the grace necessary for us to bear up under it.
1 Corinthians 10:13

How we bear up under difficulties depends greatly on our understanding of them. For instance, just about every thing in existence has a life span, (thank God!). This is also true of trials.

Our trials, we are told, have not only a purpose,
but they have a limit as to their duration I call this the Life-Cycle Of A Trial. 1 Peter 1:6, Psalms 30:5 1 Peter 5:10, 2 Corinthians 4:17

I am going to talk more about this area (TLW). I believe by having a proper understand as to the Life Cycle of a trial, the greater hope we will have not only to face our trials head on, but also to do so with great joy and determination.

Until then, "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."
Romans 15:13
