This people have I formed for myself;
they shall shew forth my praise
Isa 43:21

What I'm about to say LORD may sound somewhat arrogant, but here it is anyway, YOU NEED ME GOD! DON'T YOU SEE THAT? Believe it or not, these words were spoken in an actual incident that took place and are recorded for our instruction in the Bible. True, it was a little paraphrased on my part, so here the real rendition;

And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. For the grave cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth. The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth Isaiah 38

But what of this, could it be possible that the God who created this universe and all that moves within, could possibly need us, the work of His own hands? Before you are quick to answer this question in the negative you may want to consider the following.

You see, one of the biggest issues God had with Israel was that although He had created them so that they would display His Glory, they would have nothing to do with it. Instead they went ahorring after other gods, gods who of course, would approve of their harlotry since thy made them with their own hands.

For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot Jer 2:20 The fact is, God not only uses finite man, but also has to a degree committed Himself, while not limiting Himself, in doing so And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to (deliver up) us the ministry of reconciliation
2Corinthians 5:18

In no way does this make God any less God and neither does it give us any leverage when it comes to our relationship to God. Rather it is, God, which worketh in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure. And we know that His will is, as the Book of Romans puts it, GOOD, EXCEPTABLE AND PERFECT Php 2:13, Romans 12:2

It’s hard to comprehend why God would choose to carry out His work in such a manner especially when His foolishness (stupidity) is wiser than the greatest of man’s wisdom combined1Cor 1:25 All the more we should get out of the way, all the more He should increase in our lives. John, the forerunner for Jesus put it like this,
He must increase, but I must decrease

When we understand this truth in its proper perspective, and that is, that , this should cause we in a since have become as it were “God Reflectors”, so that we might show forth His glory. TRULY AMAZING!

This is not something that we need to be afraid of or try to avoid, as did Israel who continually tested God’s patience. It was for this very purpose that God has chosen us and would have us to know as His workmanship, Thus saith the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.

Why would God limited Himself in such a way you ask? Well, it’s with that thought I will bring this devotion to a close. I am going to leave you some of the passages in the Scriptures that address this issue. Pray on them, meditate on them, and let God speak to you concerning where you are personally in you walk with Him.

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us  2Corinthians 4:7,8

And He said to me, everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him ‘You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified  Isa 49:NKJV

That you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world  2Peter 2:15 NKJV

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth (to publish) the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light (1Peter 2:9)
